Scoremote privacy policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Scoremote is an Android app by Omnirelio (omnirelio.com). It turns your phone into a scoreboard controlled by a Bluetooth remote. It is free and shows ads; a one-time purchase removes them. This policy explains what happens with information.
Ads
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the settings pages, a full-screen ad now and then when you start a new match or come back from the settings, and sometimes one as the app opens. Never during a match, and never on a TV or monitor the board is shown on.
To show and measure ads, Google's ad software in the app collects and sends to Google:
- your device's advertising ID (which you can reset or delete in Android Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Ads), and
- information about your device and the app (model, Android version, language, approximate location from your IP address) and about ads shown and tapped.
Google uses this as described in its policy: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Omnirelio gets only aggregated reports (how many ads were shown, earnings), nothing about you.
Consent. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, using Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the app's Settings ▸ Privacy choices. Without consent to personalized ads, ads may still be shown, but not based on your interests.
US state privacy laws. In US states whose laws give you the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted ads (for example California), the app shows Google's notice and lets you opt out, and you can change your choice at any time in the app's Settings ▸ Privacy choices. Once you opt out, Google limits how it uses your information for ads.
Purchases
"Remove ads" is bought through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google; the app only learns from Google Play whether the purchase was made, so it can turn the ads off on any phone you use with the same Google account. Omnirelio never sees your payment details.
What the app stores on your phone
To keep your match and preferences between uses, the app stores on your phone only:
- the current score, sets won and their scores, and recent undo steps;
- the team names and colors you choose, and your display and control settings;
- the remote buttons you teach it: a button's name, the remote's device name and an identifier Android gives the remote, and the action you assigned;
- the results of finished matches (match history): the team names and colors, the sport, the scores, the date and the match time. You can delete one or all of them in the app's Settings ▸ Match history;
- whether ads were removed, and when a full-screen ad last showed (so they stay rare).
This data stays on your phone and is never sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it. There is no account, and the app has no analytics of its own.
Backup
If you have turned on Android backup for your Google account, Android may include these settings in your device backup and restore them on a new phone. That backup is handled by Google under your Google account and its settings; Omnirelio has no access to it.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
